We are a generation of lost children The anti-babyboomer The answer to rhyme without reason With nothing holding us together But a song that hits us A movie that guides us A game that drives us And a friendship that protects us From the reality that is always so clear to elders We have no point, no finest generation, just a dream To experience more in our life than our parents To say we did that, we went there, I new them, we partied harder Anything to justify a means to an end of an otherwise uneventful time When information and media are more concrete than the house above our head We download music from people with no connection to us To feel something, anything, other than a void My thought for the day

Kids Killing Kids

Monday, October 10, 2005

Now I admit I've definatly had more than a few friends that I would have loved to kill and kinda wish I had, but how does a nine year old actually do something like this

Brooklyn girl, 9, admits killing playmate
Plunged knife into friend's chest in dispute over toy

NEW YORK (AP) -- A 9-year-old girl pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter Friday, admitting she fatally stabbed her 11-year-old playmate after a tug-of-war over a rubber ball went sour.

The girl, identified by the city only as Shanice K., admitted she stabbed Queen Washington once in the chest at a Memorial Day gathering in Brooklyn, the city said in a statement after the proceeding.

Judge Jane Pearl ordered that Shanice remain in a non-secure setting pending sentencing. She also ordered an investigation into the child's background.

"We are confident this is an appropriate resolution of this tragic matter," said Assistant Corporation Counsel Suzette Rivera. "The plea takes into account the great harm caused by the respondent and holds her accountable" for the slaying.

Shanice was accompanied by her mother and defense attorney Nicole Barnum in Brooklyn Family Court, the city said.

Shanice and the victim were described as close friends. The girls' mothers were best friends as well when Queen was invited to Shanice's home for a Memorial Day barbecue.

Police said the death occurred when Shanice's mother stepped out of her apartment to borrow something from a neighbor.

She returned to find that her daughter had plunged a steak knife into Queen's chest, police said. Queen stumbled into a hallway and collapsed.

Police, who could not recall a younger suspect being arrested for a killing in the city, said Shanice confessed shortly after the stabbing.

Life

"I wanted a perfect ending, now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it without knowing what's going to happen next." - Unknown

Britney Spears on Kabbalah

Ok I have to give Jess credit for stumbling upon this while looking through my pile of free magazine while she was waiting at my house for me to get home from work. It has to be one of the funniest things I've read in awhile and is further proof that Britney Spears is the dumbest human alive.

Interview with Elle:

Elle - "Okay, tell me about practicing Kabbalah."

Britney - "Kabbalah has helped my soul. I was brought up Baptist, and there's religions and all that stuff, and the Bible's written -- everything's in codes. And the thing that drew me to Kabbalah is, it all comes from light. This sounds so weird, I know, but I'm just trying to explain it in a way that -- like, it all stems from light. And Kabbalah, out of all of 'emis the oldest, er, it's so rich, I think it kind of overrules everything. Like, if I read a normal self-help book -- I think that the people who write these [Kabbalah] books are so on a different level, that if you can come into contact with their consciousness, it's like so profound and enlightening"

OH IT GETS BETTER....

Elle - "Do you actually read Kabbalah books?"

Britney - "Yeah, I read 'em and I meditate on them."

Elle - "Are they in English?"

Britney - No, it's all Hebrew. I don't understand everything. But it's ok that you don't."

Priceless isn't it.....I mean I knew she was dumb, but it appears she is even dumber than I thought. It seems that the only thing she has gotten from Kabbalah is that it's trendy and "comes from light" what a hoot

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."

32nd president of US (1882 - 1945)

Darwin Awards

By now almost everyone has heard of the Darwin awards, but what i think is great to see is the ratio between men and women ... simply click on the map of the world for proof that men are idiots of the world although don't get me wrong i love men they're just ....well..... not always the smartest of creatures. But hey, I love them, I couldnt live without them and they're lack of thinking before doing things can be really cute sometimes.

DUCK HUNT!!!

Ok I admit I'm a sucker for old school nintendo games. I mean these new games with a million buttons and the super cool graphics .... well, they just arent my thing. My favorite video game ever would have to be Super Mario Brothers 3 from the original nintendo although atari's pong is definatly a close second. In honor of loving old school games here's a bit o' fun for ya .... DUCK HUNT

Katrina

as if bush and crew couldn't have screwed up any more when it come to katrina....now they're losing bodies of the deceased

and while we're on the topic of Katrina ... i understand everyone wanting to be good little citizens helping out, but come on ..... i mean like that part of the country wasnt aware that when hurricans happen things get destroyed. I mean the levee's breaking is no good and i blame it on bush not giving them the money NOLA requested because they knew it was going to happen ... then again if they knew there was a good chance of it happening they may have tried to find the money before the whole city went to crap even if bush and crew wouldnt give it to them. now a month later everywhere i go there are bins to donate to the katrina relief. dont get me wrong i feel bad for everyone who lost their homes and they're belongings and especially for those who lost their loved ones, but this is why i live in Massachusetts. we have hurricanes but the worst thing that happens is a tree falls down. Once in elementary school we had two flood days, but its not like the whole town was flooded or anything, just some of the roads cause i live in a small poop shoot town with no sewage and/or drainage system so some of the old roads that werent built right flooded and we got two days off of school...no one was hurt no big deal. I you want hurricanes to treat u this good then move to the northeast. I mean its like those people who are dumb enough to live in tornado alley .... am i really supposed to feel bad when a tornado hits ur house. in my book u kinda were asking for it by living in the craphole of the US. Oh wait...thats right ur the red bible belt type of states and u think god will protect u .... ok im just gonna stop there and leave it all at If you live in an area where hurricans and tornados happen and u want people like me to pitty you .... i suggest u move BEFORE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS

I hate the RIAA

This is great...the RIAA is acting like a mob and now they're getting taken to court like the mob

Kid's on heaven

Saturday, October 01, 2005

I was testing the children in my Sunday school class to see if they understood the concept of getting to heaven. I asked them, "If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, would that get me into Heaven?" "NO!" the children answered.

"If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard, and kept everything neat and tidy, would that get me into Heaven?" Again, the answer was, "NO!"

By now I was starting to smile. Hey, this was fun! "Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave candy to all the children, and loved my husband, would that get me into Heaven?" I asked them again. Again, they all answered, "NO!"

I was just bursting with pride for them. Well, I continued, "then how can I get into Heaven?"

A five-year-old boy shouted out, "YOU GOTTA BE F*CKING DEAD!"
